THRILLER DAYS

Nowadays, Halloween is not usually considered a religious holiday. It is mainly a fun day for children. They dress up in costumes like ghosts, witches or other evil creatures and they go “trick or treating” to the houses of neighbours, family and friends.

At school, it was different. We have celebrated the festival writing, reading, singing, dancing, playing, watching films, listening to music and dressing up as zombies. We did it in our classrooms and in the playground, in P.E., art and crafts, music, English. Our main topic was the renowned singer Michael Jackson and his famous song Thriller.

Actualmente, Samaín no es considerada una fiesta religiosa. Es principalmente un día de diversión para los niños. Se disfrazan de fantasmas, brujas u otras criaturas maléficas y van pidiendo golosinas por las casas de sus vecinos, familiares y amigos.

En el colegio es un Samaín diferente. Hemos celebrado la festividad escribiendo, leyendo, cantando, bailando, jugando, viendo pelis, escuchando música y disfrazándonos de zombis. Lo hicimos en nuestras clases y en el patio, en educación física, plástica, música e inglés. Nuestro tema principal ha sido el famoso cantante Michael Jackson y su conocida canción Thriller.
