Europe Day held on 9 May every year celebrates peace and unity in Europe. The date marks the anniversary of the historic “Schuman Declaration”.
To celebrate Europe Day:
The youngest of the school, decorated the entrance area with blue balloons with yellow stars, the European flag.
ESO and 6th Primary found out about the symbols and its meaning: Flag of Europe, Anthem of Europe and Motto of the European Union.
The children of Primary dressed the door of the hall and the walls, with the flags of the European Union countries in Art and Crafts.
In Music lessons, they studied that the European anthem is based on “ The Ode to Joy”, 4th movement of Beethoven´s Symphony No.9. They enjoyed thenselves with a “musicograma” and listened to different versions of the Anthem.
In Physical Education, they play with the flags and the colours. 5th and 6th of Primary celebrated the day “On wheels”, they came to school with their bikes, scooters and roller skates.
This was our little contribution to The Europe Day
NOS UNIMOS AL DÍA DE EUROPA
Cada año el 9 de mayo se conmemora El Día de Europa, en ese día rememoramos la paz y la unidad europea. Esta fecha señala el histórico aniversario de la “Declaración de Schuman”.
Para celebrar el Día de Europa:
Los más jóvenes del centro decoraron la entrada con globos azules y estrellas amarillas, la bandera de la Unión Europea.
ESO y 6º de Primaria investigaron sobre los símbolos de la Unión y sus significados: la bandera, el himno y su eslogan.
En Plástica, los alumnos/as de Primaria embellecieron puerta y paredes del vestíbulo con las banderas de los diferentes países de la Unión.
En las clases de Música estudiaron que el Himno de la Unión Europea está basado en la “Oda a la alegría”, el 4º movimiento de la 9ª Sinfonia de Beethoven. Se divirtieron trabajando con un “musicograma” del himno y escuchando diferentes versiones de este.
En Educación Física, hicieron diferentes juegos con banderas y colores. 5º y 6º festejó la conmemoración con el día “Sobre ruedas al cole”, llegaron en sus bicis, patinetes y patines.
Esta fue nuestra pequeña aportación al Día de Europa.
