WORLD HEALTH DAY

As usual, we commemorate the World-wide day of Health, 7th April, which pretends to claim the need to establish universal sanitary assistance for all and promote healthy habits.

Besides, this year is its 75th anniversary, where stands out the creation of the World Health Organisation “to promote the health, preserve the security of the world and serve to the vulnerable, so that all the people, everywhere, can reach the highest degree of health and welfare”. Because of all this, and although on the proper day of the celebration, we will be taking school rest, we decided to propose to students of Primary Education a small challenge, that, in brief, will be able to see published in the social networks of the school.

The challenge consisted in completing the 60 daily minutes of physical activity that recommends the World Health Organisation. They have been given total freedom to complete it. The ways to achieve the challenge have been multiple: ride a bicycle, play football, basketball, handball, go out to run, etc.

The benefit of this challenge is that they were involved to do it on their own, not at a  specific moment in a session at the school. It involved each one of the students went the managers to do physical activity during the day and, with this, raising awareness of the importance to turn it into a habit together with other actions to achieve a healthy lifestyle.
