EUROVISIÓN

As you know, Eurovision is celebrated in the middle of May every year. The oldest song festival in the world. 

From the Music Area, we have been studying it for some time and we have found out, among many other things, that English has been the language chosen by most of the participant countries throughout the years.

The Swedish group Abba won the constest in 1974 with their song «Waterloo», performed entirely in English. 

Spain has mixed English and Spanish on several occasions. For example:

• «Lady-Lady» by Bravo in 1984.
•  «Made in Spain» by La Década Prodigiosa in 1988.
• «Europe´s living a celebration» by Rosa López in 2002.

Como sabéis, Eurovisión se celebra todos los años a mediados de mayo. Se trata del festival de la canción más antiguo del mundo.

Desde el área de música, hemos estado trabajando sobre ello y, entre otras cosas, hemos averiguado que el inglés ha sido el idioma elegido por la mayoría de los países participantes durante estos años.

El grupo sueco Abba ganaba el concurso en el año 1974 con su canción «Waterloo», interpretada íntegramente en inglés.

España ha mezclado el inglés y el español en varias ocasiones. Por ejemplo:
